A Slower Pace

Cave Creek, AZ

Every once in a while I walk into a home that immediately changes the pace. This was one of those. I was a little crunched for time on this one, yet I caught myself slowing down more than usual, because every room seemed worth sitting with for a minute. The light moved through the house beautifully, and no matter where I was standing, there always seemed to be another angle that made me stop and look again.

As I worked my way through the house, I kept imagining what it'd actually be like to live here. Morning coffee on the back patio. Friends staying in the casita for the weekend. My kids running around the backyard while everyone else hangs out by the fire pit. By the end of the shoot, I wasn't thinking about the time anymore. I was just enjoying being there.

Thoughtfully Seen

Some homes ask you to slow down. Every home deserves someone willing to.

Every home deserves a little time. That's the approach I bring to every listing I photograph. My hope is that when someone views the finished images, they don't just see the home, they can begin to imagine what it feels like to be there.
